Your argument almost sounds like what people used to say about N64 and GCN (quality over quantity). It is the market leader that usually gets the most quantity. Considering Sony is in last no wonder you and others may want to start bringing up the quality over quantity argument. I am sure Sony may want the PS3 to last 10 years but only time will tell. Hopefully your system last at least 10 years, or you can always ship it back to Sony and pay for repairs. Least they seem to be getting better since PS1 / PS2 days. PS1 is what turned me off from Sony. Thanks Sony for charging me $75 to get a new system since almost all your first generation PS1 overheated after about 6 months - year (pretty sure they only offered 6 month warranty for PS1 back in day, if it was 1 year then mine was pretty much dead after a year). Also, Sony is not the best electronics company in the world. I wonder how many recalls they have had in the last few years.... Shit they can't even get a battery for a laptop right. How many different recalls for laptop manufacturers were there because of Sony batteries?
