9. super mario world -

Upon it's release in 2007 it broke every record possible, a game that will be remembered for it's brutal and dangerous multiplayer package with a single player campaign that leaves you wanting more.

8 = GTA Vice City

Platform Playstation 2

The game that left 2002 in it's shadows, set in the 80s with the Billie jean soundtrack what more could you ask for. Gta vice city is a masterpiece, 'Finish the drive'.

5= Megaman2

Released in 1989 it left the gaming industry speechles with it's innovative gameplay and one of the greatest soundtracks found in Gaming. Megaman2 has shown us the way.

It seems the community has chosen Metal Gear solid 4 as their greatest game. Am i surprised? No! This gen there has been only one game on gamers minds that is MGS4! Respect +10

MGS4 isnt even the greatest MGS.

Lol, if this compilation of top 100 games is based off of what this community decides and not anything else, then sadly MGS4 will be the number one game since there is about 3x as many PS3 fans than any other console on this site.... It's quite sad considering so many games deserve it more than MGS4.

I'm fairly sure that Bioshock, Halo 3, and GTA3 have all already showed up in the 100-11 lists.

I don't even know what I would pick as the #1 game... I mean, we've been spanning decades with this list.... so if I had to pick one game that absolutely dominated my childhood and had the longest playtime and fun, I'd have to say Super Mario Brothers 3.
