Ubisoft has announced that it is once again collaborating with Olympic Gold Medalist Shaun White, announcing the development of Shaun White Snowboarding: World Stage.

In development at Ubisoft Montréal, Shaun White Snowboarding: World Stage will be released exclusively for Wii in holiday 2009.

“Working with Shaun on the first title was an excellent experience,” said Antoine Guignard, producer of Shaun White Snowboarding: World Stage at Ubisoft. “The great public reception of Shaun White Snowboarding and the wonderful collaboration with Shaun made it a slam dunk for us to reunite to create a fun, new adventure for fans.”

Players will be invited to hit the slopes with Shaun and his crew, but this time the stakes are higher as they pursue the world's top competitions from a half-pipe in the middle of New York’s Time Square to the most prestigious competitions of France, Canada and Japan.

As with the first game, Shaun White Snowboarding: World Stage will also feature support for the Wii Balance Board. Look out for more on the game next week, with Ubisoft confirming the game will be showcased during its press conference on June 1.

I'd rather they make it for the HD systems as well, and give the Wii its own version of BG&E 2.

I think they will still make Shaun White Snowboarding 2 for the HD systems.

Technically speaking Road Tour was a Wii exclusive also.

well this is exactly what they were hinting at. Wii version sold more = gets sequel
