I bought FF3 for the DS...I put in about 3 hours and never played it again. I've only played FF7 completely...otherwise I've never completed a FF game besides Crystal Chronicles.

I just find JRPGs boring as hell, repetitive, etc. I thought maybe on the handheld it'd be different as I play DS when I have time to waste...but it's still boring, even with the 3D overhaul.

I've learned I pretty much hate RPGs where you just take turns, and that's it. If there's at least a few realtime skill elements thrown in, it makes it much more interesting, for me at least. I don't really like hack and slashes, and I don't like JRPGs...a cross between the two is good for me.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

is this the 1 with Cecil as main character? I'm confused .... so ff2 us = ff4 and ff3 us = ff6 ......if so where is ff5 .....and 1-3 r 4 nes?

I don't agree.

Final Fantasy X-2 is the worst disgrace to FF and to gaming... ever.

im with fazz whoever made that needs to be shot, fast

With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

Game trailers-Halo 3 only dissapointed the people who wanted to be dissapointed.

Bet with Harvey Birdman that Lost Odyssey will sell more then Blue dragon did.

This isn't the one with Cecil.

Localization (English translations too up too much room on NES and SNES cartridges) and the time it took to port meant several Final Fantasy games didn't make it to North America. Things changed with Final Fantasy 7 and Square started porting/remaking the games they skipped. Final Fantasy 3 was the last one to show up in North America as a 3D-updated remake.

NA:

FF1 NES

FF2 Wasn't released

FF3 Wasn't released

FF4 SNES, renamed as FF2

FF5 Wasn't released

FF6 SNES, renamed as FF3

There is no such thing as a console war. This is the first step to game design.
