Forums - Nintendo - What Nintendo will show at E3?

I'm trying to hide from the speculation in case I end up disappointed.

I just hope they give me 3 or 4 BIG first party games. Even if they come out over the next 12 months I'd be happy. Last years show was appalling, especially coming off the back of the Wii Fit/Brawl/Kart hyperbeam of early 08.

I've love a hyperbeam release schedule like that, actually, for Q4/09 Q1/10. Casual, core and bridge title.

(I just realised that in the context of my hyperbeam metaphor, Nintendo would have to rest for a turn before the next attack... so a big Q4/09 and a big Q2/10, please.)

In fact, have Nintendo been resting since their last hyperbeam?? :-o Or did they run out of PP?

I highly doubt a sequel to Wii Fit will be announced till it drops out of the top ten games world wide.

You never know with Nintendo... Brain Training was still selling very, very well when they released a sequel to it.

I have a feeling this one will be casual centered once again. After those new patented products "Wii Fit Plus" and "Art Academy" appeared today in Japan, plus with the show about Wii Sports Resort we may just have to accept this is indeed going to be similar to 2008.

They better have something else, because so far, all that's been revealed and hinted at has been casual games: Wii Fit Plus, Art Academy, Wii Sports Resort, Friend Collection, Personal Trainer: Walking... At least they have some DS games Zelda: ST, Pokemon Gold/Silver Remakes, Mario & Luigi. But for the Wii? Nothing big or notable... They better show something new for the core audiences, MP Trilogy is just a repackage of older games, I'm sure they will also announce NPC Pikmin 2 and then shed out some info about S&P2, but besides that? I already lost all the hype, but that's good, since I'm disappointed now, and my disappointment won't last till E3.

So they patented Wii Fit Plus, sounds to me like my speculation might be spot on. Nintendo will want to capitalize on WiiFit's success. Keep in mind WiiFit is alot like Brain Age and Nintendo has really milked Brain Age for all its worth and they've made millions and millions in doing so. I suspect we'll see a new WiiFit.

Miyamoto admitted last year that hardcore fans were dissapointed. So has Reggie with both of Nintendo's biggest heads (Excluding Iwata) admitting that core fans were dissapointed I can't see them repeating the same mistake. Pikmin3 is pretty much a must at the show considering Miyamoto confirmed it already at last years E3. Also Mario and Zelda's teams are hard at work and Retro has also been silent. I can't see this E3 not appealing at least half to the core gamer.

Plus keep in mind that last year saw what 3 new games for Wii, Nintendo has the most first party developers of any of the three console manufacturers. It is the largest games publisher on the earth. With so many studio's Nintendo has to be hiding alot of games, their shouldn't have been such a big drought.

My guess is that last year was Nintendo's attempt to drive up third party sales. By completely ignoring their hardcore user base they hoped those users would turn to the third parties instead. However third parties didn't have the best line-up either and it turned out to just be a horrible year.

Nintendo can't afford to throw this year to the dogs, if Nintendo doesn't show something big gamers will be driven into the hands of Microsoft and Sony, who's consoles are now within the budget Wii Price range!

pikmin 3, wii fit plus, pilotwings plus new games from retro and NST. you heard it here first

nintendo fanboy, but the good kind

proud soldier of nintopia

as far as wii goes, im hoping to see more on the horror games coming

silent hill, and espescially the feel

those arent nintendo tho

for nintendo im hoping they make a professor layton for wii, seriously why not?

Last year's game of the year turned out to be Silent Hill : Shattered Memories (online GOTY was COD 6).  This year's GOTY leader to me is Heavy Rain.

Wii Friend Code: 4094-4604-1880-6889

Wii Sports Resort and Motion +, Pikmin 3, Mario & Luigi 3, Zelda: Spirit Tracks, Metroid Prime Trilogy, Pokemon Heart Gold & Soul Silver. These games I'm pretty damn sure they will show at the conference. Possibly some trailers, and new info. Maybe give M&L3 a name at the end of it like SSS, and PiT had.

They will also reveal at least most of what will be coming out before Christmas (they might leave one game a surprise for later, but who knows)

Sin & Punishment 2, Mario & Sonic 2, Wario Ware: Myself! are already announced.

I expect them to announce Mario Party 9. That is pretty inevitible. 8 came out 2 years ago, and I do know that the DS one only came out a year and a half ago, but It looks like they might be making one every 2 years now, but you can't consider 2 games to be a pattern. Pikmin 3 like I mentioned earlier, Miyamoto announced it last year because he knew everyone was disappointed with the show, and it was confirmed that what Miyamoto mentioned was NOT part of New Play Control series. Star Fox Wii, I hope it'll be there. I really do. If it is, that would be a miracle. Kirby Wii was in the Japanese release list (again anyway) Will we see it at E3? I hope so!

Zelda Wii. Not gonna be announced. Don't ask for it, don't expect it. It WILL come though, just not this year. They have Zelda Spirit Tracks this year. They will have Zelda Wii at E3 next year. Possibly even announce it at GDC like they did with Spirit Tracks. Who knows.

3rd party games that will/ most likely be there(maybe not at Nintendo's conference, but we don't know, they could be): The Conduit, Red Steel 2, No More Heroes Desperate Struggle. I'm looking forward to all 3! :D

I hope they will announce some VC/WW/and DSi Ware stuff. Not release dates, just announcing a few games will be great for me. I want Super Mario Kart and SSB released on the VC (SSB is out in Japan and SMK was rated by the OFLC. I also want Star Fox. I don't think we will ever see Earth Bound, but I'm not interested in that.

Hopefully some WW and DSi Ware stuff will be announced too.

Their are alot of known casual games like WarioWare and some other titles for the DS that we can all expect to see. It makes sense that we'll see one of Nintendo's more established IP's revealed at this years E3 whether it be the likes of StarFox or Donkey Kong (Which I really want to see).

As for the MarioParty Pattern their was a new MarioParty game released pretty much every year up until MarioParty DS. With Nintendo's online network now complete and Wii Motion Plus and the Balance board now among the new periferils the lack of a new Mario Party that takes advantage of those would be disasterous.

Zelda (Wii). Your right with Spirit Tracks officially announced it seems rather doubtful that we'll see a new Zelda. But with Sony announcing a new PSP , Nintendo would need something really big to counter with. Something that fans would like so much that they would ignore the Sony booth and a new Zelda would do exactly that.

Also the new Mario thats been hinted at, I wonder if we'll see that at this show too. I think it would be awsome if Nintendo showed off a new Mario. I was appauled on GameTrailers.com their was a poll done which rumoured E3 game are you most looking forward too and the new Mario scored a 3% I was astounded!
