N-gage,Gizmondo,Lynx will beat the gameboy color in sales? Thats just crazy talk. I don't think one of those handhelds sold more than 6 million units.

As for the PSP selling 48 million units, it could.

N-Gage- 1 million worldwide, Starting price $300

Gizmondo- couldn't sell anything, price was $400.

Even though the PSP is $200. Its really the best selling handheld when competeting against a Nintendo product which is the DS. I see this as a stepping stone for Sony when they release the PSP 2. Its going to let them know that priacy was killing them and they are going to increase the scecurity on the unit. Sony will learn from its mistakes.

 That is the perfect proof, thanks for bringing up those excellent games. Both of those games appeal immensely to the core gamer and don't expand the market. The PSP is a machine for the core gamer and that's a problem. It is not bringing in a new audience.


You couldn't had said it any better. Sony focuses on the core, whereas Nintendo is really focusing on the casual audience and trying to expand. But sooner or later that audience Nintendo picks up will become hardcore some day and will turn to the PSP.


 

True and not true. Hardcores are also buying DS for the RPGs and stuff too, and they trust Nintendo, so not really but some could or some'll buy both. And there's still 6 billion+ people who don't own a VG system. There are so many casuals. This is also a reason Nintendo want casuals, there's an infinite number of them and imagine how much money they'll get if they get at least a portion of the casuals.

And just imagine when those causal become hardcore and get tired of Nintendo game gimmicks. Then they will switch to the PSP.

Gimmicks usually have litte use or relevance but the wii remote, the touch screen and the dual screens add to the gameplay. The wii remote is the most obvious one; doing the actions makes the game more immersive. The dual screen creates a more seamless experience because you don't need to go back to the menu to check inventory. Its right there on the bottom or tob screen. Touch screen adds more control options (yea maybe the touch screen is sort of gimmicky but in NSMB it was really convenient to just touch the screen to release you item)

Anyway That's my opinion and you will probably diagree but I thought I'd put in my two cents.

BTW: If you have any examples of how the touch screen adds to the gameplay of a game, post them.

Oh so your basically telling me that I'm jealous or have a disorder? Yeah thats what your saying. Can I report that to the mods. I know they would seriously ban you saying dumb sh*t like that.

Also do you have $250 for a Wii and $130 for a DS for me? So I can purchase it?

Cause the last time I checked? I said I want ONE! handheld and ONE! console and the ONE handheld is the PSP and the ONE console is the Xbox 360.
