Isaac/Felix from Golden Sun. I was pissed he wasn't playable and fucking DeDeDe is.

Exactly why me and my friends play Melee more than Brawl.

You and your friends play Melee more than Brawl because the main villain from one of Nintendo's Top 5 franchises got in over the main character from a random GBA franchise that was semi-popular and hasn't been heard from in 5 years?

Makes sense.

And ROB, and fucking Lucas, and Lucario (wtf is a Lucario and why did it replace Mewtwo?) and that piece of shit Wario.

And btw, it hasn't been heard from in 7 years.

We play Melee more than Brawl because Melee plays faster.

More girl representation... Peach, Zelda, and Samus/ZSS is a pretty small roster.

Micaiah, Eirika, or Lyn of Fire Emblem would be an interesting choices.

While that would be great, there's a problem. How would Eirika and Lyn be different from Marth?

If you look at Fire Emblem, Marth's speed is far lower than Lyn's (and possibly Eirika's), but Marth is among the fastest in Brawl/Melee. Making an even quicker Sworduser would almost be a bit odd.

I'm sure it could be done, but there are already a fair bit of sword users in Smash Bros, and they wouldn't be very unique characters.

I'd absolutely love to see Micaiah there though. Her spells could be brilliantly put into the game.

When I write Fact: in one part of the post, and opinion: (or a similar word), it's not because I can then say "my opinion can't be wrong". It is to inform what part is pure facts, and which part I try to draw a conclusion in.

a giantic robotic miyamoto.

I know exactly what you mean.  Marth, Roy, Eliwood, and Eirika represent the classic Fire Emblem lord that fights with a rapier.  Marth's sword breaker move in Brawl looks pretty much like all their attacks of their games.  I think the key to Eirika would be integrating her promotion self into the game.  They managed to give Wario a bike so I'm thinking they could give Eirika her horse and work it in somehow.

Lyn would be even easier, I see her as a hybrid somewhere between Marth, Pit, and Metaknight.  Giving her the ability to switch between wielding the Mani Katti and Sol Katti with her down+B would make her even more interesting.  You could also give her a bow (she gets one as a Blade Lord).

In the end, one of my complaints about SSBB is that almost every weapon you see is a sword.  It would be nice to have some other weapons being used but the most recognizable female FE characters (the lords) mostly use swords.  Only Hector, Ephraim, and Micaiah use weapons besides swords in their first class.

I guess the best Fire Emblem could hope for would be one more character since most franchises don't get more than 3.  Kirby has 3 (Kirby, MK, Dedede).  Star Fox has 3 (Fox, Falco, Wolf).  Zelda has 3 (Link, Zelda, Ganondorf).  Fire Emblem should have 3 as well I suppose.  Ike, Marth, and Lyn or Micaiah.
