Forums - Gaming - LAN events with consoles

I was wondering how many people had tried something like this. I've held two so far, where we have gathered four PS3s, four HDTVs and four copies of Resistance 2 in a typical LAN event space. The first time was great, but since Resistance 2 didn't support multiple PSN accounts on one PS3 (we couldn't save progress for the second player in splitscreen), it was a little annoying. The second time around, which was just this weekend, we had the patch for that though, and we had a blast. Resistance 2 coop really is one of the greatest things you can play at an event like this, damn it's fun.

So, have anyone else tried something like this, or is it just me?

And post about how it was if you have

And just for the heck of it, some pictures:

My school hosts LAN Partys every 2-3 weeks on the weekends. We bring in our 360's and play for six hours straight with each other.

Games we played:
Halo 3
Call Of Duty 4 and 5
Left4dead
Guitar Hero and Rock Band

looks sweet, unfortunalty Iv never been to a LAN party... maybe one day

I only play PC games in LAN parties :| I barely have any console gaming friends... if I can even call them friends that is :|

Use to do this all the time with Halo 1 and Halo 2. Only a little bit with Halo 3. We use to also play a lot of Time Splitters or any game in general with LAN ability. I hope developers continue to allow this in the future.

Looks like one day when I get PS3 Resistance will be a top priority with LAN.

It's just that simple.

Hell yeah. I was a manager of a movie theatre while I was in college. It was a six screen theatre and we would hook up 3 boxes and play some 4 vs 4 vs 4 on Halo 3. It was friggen amazing. We used the HD digital projectors that were for showing the pre-show commercials, in our case The Twenty. The 360 wireless remotes worked perfectly while the boxes were in the projection booth.
