After playing Left4Dead I decided not to buy the full game.. I still play the demo single play from time to time and thats good enough for me..

also trying PES2009 I thought that was inferior to fifa09...

Blue Dragon had a really awful demo but I decided to buy the full game and found that I enjoyed the full game

I like them, but I never base my buying judgement on them alone :| They are a great way to try out new genres/IPs that you never knew about, but if its a tried and true formula/IP Il probably buy the game even if the demo is crap :P
