I'm constantly amazed that people thing MAG is this crazy awesome idea, but it already exist to a great extent... and guess what... it's a SOE game.  I've played it off and on for a few years and it's got some perks to it for sure so I"m sure they will use the lessons learned from the game.  However maybe my playing of the game has tempered my excitement over Sony's MAG.  Surely I'm not the only PlanetSide owner!

The thing you need to take into account is that MAG isn't going to be on SOE, which amounts to an engine for stealing the creativity and fun out of games, and then making paying subscribers cry.

Also, it's a console multiplayer, which means you'll be able to play with 127 other jerks who are trying to team-kill you and run all the loaded transport vehicles into the ocean. It will truly be an amazing thing.

PlanetSide uses an effective system to reward players... you know when the good player is comming cause he wrecks havok on a level that only God could do in real life.  I think if they put effective rewards they wont have to much team killing

I read in GameInformer that it will be local MP only..Unless I read it backwards

Nobody is forcing you to like MAG

Well TBH I dont get it whats with all this MAG hype.. it looks way to generic in my eyes, and I have no interest in it at all :| Im still into that old 4vs4 Quake 3 Arena matches :P

I'm excited for MAG because it's made by Zipper Interactive for one.

And two, It just looks like a fun game to play.

256 man local multiplayer?
