well i believe that in the end it doesnt really matter wich console is selling better or wich one is better. what matters is that we enjoy all this AWESOME games coming this yearrrrrrrr¡¡¡¡¡. omg this year is going to be epic¡¡¡¡¡¡.

E. Those estimates, which are showing, that x360 is bareally by 5-10k ahead on weekly basis(AND NOT ALWAYS), can change anytime, especially, considering pretty big difference between PS3 shipments and VGC estimates. 

F. Are you BLIND? 199$ costing console manages to oustell 399$. Are you in DENIAL??? 299$ costing PS3 will just destroy x360.
Moreover, PS2 was able to outsell xbox on it`s 4th year, even with same price as xbox, while x360, which selling for 2x times LESS entry price, than PS3 is struggling to outsell PS3 WW.


Also, 299$ costing PS3 this Christmas will DESTROY x360, no matter, how PS3 gets to that price, will that be 2x 50$ or 1x 100$.
And PS3 doesn`t need saving, IT doing OK at it`s ENTRY price. It`s x360, who is doing BAD.

I love how your Logic fails to see that the XBox 360 has three prices....and I love how all you Ps3 fans always pit the arcade against the ps3.....

MS has a different Stratergy from Sony.....So in any event Sony's strategy is just taking off...

Until you can prove that Arcade unit is the only one selling don't use such failed comparison..

By the way....Infinity Ward just reported 17 Million unique CoD4 users on Xbox Live...Subtract 17 million from 28 million and you get the number of people with a Hard Drive in their 360 and Xbox Live Gold...Then Factor in the varible of 360 owners with Hard Drives that have not played CoD4.....your comparison = FAIL!

This Thread = Fail and the PS3 exclusive Line up has yet to prove it will push the ps3 over Xbox 360 in weekly sales...as it yet to do so!

Europe:

Japan: 
PS3 80Gb - 39,980￥ vs x360 Arcade 19,800￥+ x360 60Gb Pro 29,800￥ + x360 120Gb elite 39,800￥.

NA:
PS3 80GB - 399$ + PS3 160Gb - 499$ vs x360 Arcade 199$ + x360 60Gb Pro 299$ + x360 120Gb elite 399$.

Also, so far PS3 has more announced games for this year, than x360.


How can x360 survive 349$ or 299$ PS3 price? x360 already reached mass market (199-299$) price, in Europe it`s even cheaper. It`s dead in Japan. PS3 is getting more and more exclusive games. 

What momentum is left for x360? Has x360 reached it`s limits? How long will last x360?

you once posted in a thread long long ago,  (2007) that the first console to 199/249  between the 360 and the ps3 would lead this generation between the two... do you no longer believe that?

So if 17 million is the number of "UNIQUE users" (Which Translates to 17 Million Paying Xbox Live Gold members)that Infinity Ward reports for CoD4 how would 13 million be the number of sales for the other models?

 

EDit: Sorry about that...17 million is the number of Gold Xbox Live members..13 million is the CoD4 number...my Bad.....

If you're counting the individual weeks as victories and relying on big exclusives to help outsell a cheaper console by maybe 20k at best then that is a sorry state of affairs.


     that is why the many little unique gems from Japanese developers that will be coming the PS3's way in the wake of games like the FFs and GT5 are so important and will help the PS3 overtake the 360 worldwide in the end.  When you have Persona and ICO sized games, and many more games from NIS and the like coming the PS3's way as well as their usual bigger exclusives from the Japanese and Western developers like Square, Konami, Naughty Dog, and Insomniac  with most of the big western third pary games remaining on both 360 and PS3 those games from the smaller Japanese studios  start to differentiate the PS3's library from the 360's then combine that with a lower price for PS3 in the coming months as a result of better sales and the PS3 overtakes the 360.

 

 

The problem is Son¥ doesn't have a big release coming out every WEEK to help it outsell the 360.

I forgot to put that word in. damn.
I'm glad you're happy with those exclusives coming out but don't forget not everyone cares about them, the 360 also has it's own exclusives coming out to help bump its sales


the problem is if history continues to repeat itself then when those games comes out the PS3 might outsell the 360 for a week or 2, maybe a month but that's it til next exclusive. Which is why I said they don't have enough games coming out for the PS3 to sell more for the year.

The 360 doesn't even need to outsell the PS3 at this point. We're almost four years into the console war and the 360 has an 8 million unit lead. The PS3 would have to sell double every week what it is now in order to even close the gap.
