So glad you asked. "Struggling" implies that it is having difficulty doing so on a consistant basis. Price difference isn't mentioned here because it is irrelivant. The statement I was refuting involved the "360 struggling to outsell the PS3 despite the price difference" not "the 360 would not outsell the PS3 without the price difference."

So yes, once again, "struggling" implies difficulty. In reality, the 360 has been outselling the PS3 on a consistant basis worldwide with relatively little danger of that changing due to anything but a price cut by Sony.

That is why E is 100 percent correct. The PS3, in its closest week lately, couldn't outsell the 360, without counting America. Thus, it isn't exactly "struggling," to outsell it. It is doing so on a very consistant basis.

Actually, if you read my post, you will see that I completely suceeded in proving the OP wrong, with facts, irrefutable opinion, and most importantly iron clad logic.

I think that you HOPE it would be impossible to prove the OP wrong. It isn't. You should read everyone's post before you respond with such a broad generalization....or at least mine.

As long as 360 is outselling PS3 every week, then your thread title fails.

I dont care what the price gap is, I only see the results.

Same time in 2008 the PS3 was outselling 360, now its a role reversal.

Thnx, though x360 having problem with outselling PS3 WW by more than 5-10k lately, not even 20k. Most likely, during inFAMOUS release week PS3 will again outsell x360 WW this year. So far, x360 has nothing against PS3 in next few months.

Hehe, True. =) But, they need to realize, that it`s x360 in reality doing BAD, and only what is left for x360 is 199$ for Pro, while in Europe 60Gb model already cost 239€, unless moving to 149€(almost like giving for free), M$ already lost Europe.

It`s NICE, that you undersand. =) Also, about PS3 priceut, IF Sony was able to give away 30$ profit on every PS2, they are definitely in position to make a pricecut on PS3. Especially after 45nm Cell and RSX. PS3 is getting A LOT of GREAT games this year, and with mass market price, it will be just ustoptable. And like GC at 99$, x360 60Gb Pro for 199$ won`t be able to stop 299$ 80Gb PS3 this Christmas.

INDEED, PS3 after selling more, than 1,5 years at same 400$ price, manages to sell on PAR with x360, which just had a pricecut half a year ago.

Yeah, mass market price(299$) for main model helped a little x360 during Christmas, but since Killzone 2 release, it doesn`t work anymore.

People are probably just in denial, x360 is selling at much lower price, than PS3, and still struggling to outsell PS3 WW on a weekly basis.

It`s now only a matter of time. More important thing, that some people who wanted x360 for 199$, already have purchased an Arcade model, so when x360 60Gb Pro will reach 199$ price, it won`t have that big effect, which it could. While, when PS3 will enter mass market price(299$), more and more people will chose PS3, which is really a GREAT value at freaking 299$.
