Hey all, I'm considering getting my mother a DS for her birthday.


 


There is a deal at one of my shops for brain training + DS lite for $220 Au. A DS lite is usually $200 Au on its own.


 


My questions


 


Should I buy it?


Are 2nd hand DS's reliable? and if so is that a better option?


What games can I recommend to her? She likes Wii Sports and Mario Kart, as well as board games.

Actually, she'd love Layton, I might ask if I can get that bundled instead of brain Training. She is a maths teacher after all.

And no, she has a gaming PC for all her hardcore gaming needs :P (JK)

I'll try to find somewhere that'll let me try out the 2nd hand ds's before buying

@ smoked hostage. I shall look into it, but I suspect it would be too easy for her. If it's the type of thing designed to teach you how to do maths, then she probably wouldn't need it. Maths/logic based puzzle games very much her thing
