Forums - Gaming - Games that you have grew out of?

I haven't really outgrown any genre or games (I play Cooking Mama!) but I'm seriously bored with sandbox games. I'm still buying inFamous, Saints Row 2, and Prototype, but I know I may not finish any of them.

RTS games, because the never evolving storylines, and the fact that classic ones remain the best ;)

3D platformers... just some of them of course, but I used to love kiddy 3D platformers, now Im just bored of them :P

Grown out is a silly word.

I'm currently bored of any RTS released after starcraft and most rpg's especially bethesda and bioware rpg's.

Don't worry kids, when you finish your teenage years you'll grow back into them. Image and ego are very important at this stage of your development.

This couldn't be any more accurate.

That's because Starcraft is just too good and makes all other RTSs look bad.

And I don't think I grew out of any games. I could say FPSs but I never liked them all that much to begin with. Also, I agree with people saying "growing out" sounds terribly condescending. It's like saying "I'm too good for those games, I'm a big kid now!"

I have grown out of Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy's, Killzone, Halo and funnily enough grown back into Nintendo games because of the Wii which in turn has made me grow back into old Arcade classics like Rastan Saga. The gameplay of these original classics is so much more than todays efforts

Bill Gates had Mac prototypes to work from, and he was known to be obsessed with trying to make Windows as good as SAND (Steve's Amazing New Device), as a Microsoft exec named it. It was the Mac that Microsoft took for its blueprint on how to make a GUI.
