I'm honestly trying to wrap my head around this thread and i just don't get it.

I can understand being proud of yourself for remaining true to your own cultural heritage but to me that is quite different to being proud of your race or colour.

But just because White people may have a longer history of racism, it doesn't justify the actions of non whites on TV. For example: a black person can call a white person "whitey" on tv but if its teh other way around, its racist. Joking about race is one thing, but being a hypocrite is another. I'm not proud of what white people have done in the past (killing natives, enslaving blacks, etc) but It wasn't my generation that did it, I don't owe other races anything personally. The natives had their land taken in like the 16th century and black were enslaved back in the 19th century. It was a long time ago.

Its time to forget our differences and get along!
