I am white and proud.

Why does it sound racist when someone is "white and proud", but if someone is "black and proud" that's just fine? I really hate double standards.

you know..you have a point.. I guess its because caucasians have a long history of racism.

But just because White people may have a longer history of racism, it doesn't justify the actions of non whites on TV. For example: a black person can call a white person "whitey" on tv but if its teh other way around, its racist. Joking about race is one thing, but being a hypocrite is another. This is coming from a black person

Also I have no problem with white people being proud of being white. However, If you say this in public yo uwill be deemed a racist, so say things like I'm proud of being Italian or something.

i have black and hair and im proud.

Well said man. You sound like a decent guy.

I'm not proud of what white people have done in the past (killing natives, enslaving blacks, etc) but It wasn't my generation that did it, I don't owe other races anything personally. The natives had their land taken in like the 16th century and black were enslaved back in the 19th century. It was a long time ago.

Its time to forget our differences and get along!

Just because its socially more acceptable to say racist things about white people on "television" doesn't mean it still isn't racism.

I'm white but I'm not "proud" as skin colour doesn't mean anything to me and it never has.

I'm Italian and I'm proud of that. :D

Pacman taught people to run around in dark rooms munching on pills while listening to repettive techno music and for that I somewhat idolise him.

For some reason I thought you were Indian Captain preferences. Guess I was wrong lol.

I am mexican-american and proud! :P
