2D METROID!!!!!(They only said they won't make another Metroid Prime, obviously because corruption was the last in the sub-series). I would prefer R&D1, but to be honest I'm desperate here and will take a 2D metroid from any good Nintendo Team.

As far as retro, I've looked them up, and while metroid Prime was an amazing game, there appear to be diminishing returns on the franchise. |
I don't understand what you're trying to prove here. Soriku gets excited about things from Namco, Square and any other JRPG maker as well as Nintendo games, and Retro has been more successful than Team Ico in every measurable respect except personal taste.

Play the games before you judge. Metroid Prime was a phenomenal trilogy.
I'm pretty sure I already wrote that Prime was amazing, which you quoted.
I said before that I'm not attacking him. It's just if you read a thread title like this:
"The most amazing development in video gaming" it's probably only opinion.

considering we are getting Metroid Prime Trilogy it could be new Metroid game from completely new series(not Prime) or new IP(would be probably shooter). but come on they were doing Metroid series since gamecube era. they are succesful at it so it quite obvious that nintendo would want them to make another Metroid game.

Retro have said that their taking a break from metroid for the time being to explore other projects. I woundn't be surprised if it's a shooter as all Nintendo really needs now is a more atypical FPS (well you could say they have Geist but that was rather average). I'll certainly be a shame to not see a Metroid game from them for some time but absence only makes the heart grow fonder.

An FPS would not be a bad idea. The Wii is perfect for it, but no game has really made people want FPSs on the Wii. If they make a successful one, than we may see a lot more on the Wii.
