Forums - Website Topics - "My recent threads" and "forum hot topics" on the same page please

@ ioi, what about some sort of customisable layout, similar to the BBC homepage one?

Around the Network

NEW SUGGESTION THAT WILL SOLVE THE "MY RECENT THREADS" ISSUE.

Work it into the already existing forum section on the front page. Wouldn't take ANY extra space up and it would solve the problem instantly.

The way I have it set up - with the divider between it and the "normal" forum labels - I think would be the best way to do it. For obvious reasons.

@Brett - If that's the case, then why did you have that function worked in for such a long time already? Besides that, the forums are by and large a very significant part of the site, and probably the largest generator of traffic, hits, and ultimately, revenue. Yes, the forums had too much of a concentration on the old format, but a function like this thread discusses is the biggest thing that differentiated VGChartz from any other forum, and it's a big part of why a number of people have decided to call this site their home. Also, the main site-forums integration that you've had utilized is by and far superior to that which I've ever seen on a website, and I've been doin' the messageboard thing for twelve years now. I've NEVER seen a board that so wonderfully intermingled the different parts like VGChartz did, and to see that go away is an incredible shame. I very highly recommend utilizing the suggestion I have above, because I assure you - it WILL help keep this site popular.

I made a thread asking for the same thing..

It was better on 1.0 because it was on the front page, easier for Cell Phone Access..
