Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo convinces EBAY and Amazon to ban DS flashcarts

Perhaps I'll need to get one from another source... I need it for testing games before I buy.

That's sucks... Oh well, There are still tons of better, cheaper places to get them... I got all of my M3's from different sites... And whoever wrote this article is an uninteligent misinformed asswad excuse of a writer about flashcards. Everyone with about knows that with 5 minutes of research, that these things aren't actually meant for piracy... more for in-game goof-around mods, and more importantly, HOMEBREW.

WHY DON'T WE BAN "JAILBREAKING" iFONES? THAT'S ABOUT HOW MUCH SENSE THIS MAKES!

Fuck it. Call me a motherfucking pirate. In the words of Hollywood Undead: "I don't give a fuck what you think or say, Cuz we all rock this whole place anyway".

I'm not gonna buy the same ported shit 5 times over and over again. If I want Tetris, I'm not paying for it again. If I want the original Super Mario Bros. on the go, I'm not buying it again. If I want to play Sonic, jEnesisDS is way better than the shitty Sonic Genesis port. If I want to play Sonic 3, Then I'm gonna fucking do it.

If I want to play my GB Games (something the DS's can't do normally) without rebuying them through the Nintendo Shop channel, and they don't like it, they can fuck off.

Once they make Jump Ultimate Stars in English and brought to America, I'll buy it... Until then, FUCK OFF.

Also, thanks to flashcarts like M3 and R4, playing music is nothing new, and I can actually play MP3's instead of shitty ACC files...

Mentioned a site where you can buy R4's.

Apparently it's against the rules.

way to stick ot to the hackers nintendo.

Dang I can't get free games anymore well time to sell my DS

Most people probably don't get them from Ebay or Amazon though, so I don't see the point other than they are trying to keep it from getting as mainstream as possible.

Exactly.... I don't see how anyone can see this as a bad thing.

The people who use R4s for legitimate reasons (homebrew or music or whatever) are generally more tech savvy and can still get the card from other places, and then some people who pirate games would not be stopped even if you banned R4s from everywhere, or if they could be stopped they would just not have bought a DS in the first place.

So this move just does one thing.... it stops people like my cousin finding them.

This will have miniscual impact on sales. People don't pirate because they have the money. They pirate because they don't. Necisity(in this case piraters) is the mother of invention. They will find other sources and other ways. Even if nintendo managed to %100 percent to stop piracy there will still be no dramatic increase sales.

If Nintendo really want's to stop piracy they should support homebrew. It's there requirements that find the exploits. Allowed code means no exploits. no exploits means reduced piracy. reduced piracy means no increased sales, but hey at least there is something to boast about.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.
