I just saw this last night, and wow, I went in with low expectations after T3 and it completely blew my mind.

Christian Bale was an inspired choice for a battle-jaded John Connor, and it was great to see the stakes so thoroughly upped (instead of one enemy, there were hundreds).

Spoilers ahead!

Specific scenes of mega-greatness (highlight the white area to read):




- The "Oh hell yes!" Schwarzenegger cameo.

- Little girl gives Marcus the lighter--I need not explain any further.

- Marcus gives John his heart

- John 1-on-1 vs the endoskeleton in Skynet central.



Also, if I may say so, Anton Yelchin was great as Reese--he captured Michael Biehn's speech and movement so perfectly you'd think it was a younger version of the same actor.



Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

It was a nice popcorn flick, full of great action and amazing visuals. And although it was rather predictable and the acting was somewhat cheeseball (Christian Bale was good... but other than that...), I definitely enjoyed watching it.

Oh, and some of those one liners were so corny.

But seriously, the Arnold cameo was pretty sweet.

When the chamber opened and it showed his feet under the gas, I was like, "Wait, I recognize feet!  No, it can't be...!"  and then when it panned up I shouted "OH HELL YES!"

Haha, the whole audience erupted in cheers. I must admit... it was totally awesome.

But yes, much better than 3, but 2 is still my favorite (haven't seen 1... *shifty eyes*)

"Come with me if you want to live."

"I'll be back."

They just didn't couldn't compare because there was no Austrian accent behind it. We need Rol to say them.

I thought it was thoroughly disappointing.
Bale was too busy doing his batman voice to put some character into conner.
