I just saw this last night, and wow, I went in with low expectations after T3 and it completely blew my mind.
Christian Bale was an inspired choice for a battle-jaded John Connor, and it was great to see the stakes so thoroughly upped (instead of one enemy, there were hundreds).
Spoilers ahead!
Specific scenes of mega-greatness (highlight the white area to read):
- The "Oh hell yes!" Schwarzenegger cameo.
- Little girl gives Marcus the lighter--I need not explain any further.
- Marcus gives John his heart
- John 1-on-1 vs the endoskeleton in Skynet central.
Also, if I may say so, Anton Yelchin was great as Reese--he captured Michael Biehn's speech and movement so perfectly you'd think it was a younger version of the same actor.
Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?
