Forums - Nintendo - Metroid Prime Trilogy Hands-on - (All 3 games on one disc :O)

Well I am obviously in the minority..... but even the flying sections on Starfox Adventures (all 20-30 minutes of them) were a much better experience than the whole of Lylat Wars.... never mind adding in the rest of Starfox Adventures gameplay, which was mostly a good game, if a little short.

Now Adventures was a decent game, but the flying section always left me wanting more. I guess we have opposing views :D

Well it left me wanting more too, because it was good... I loved flying around using the analogue L/R triggers to bank turn between rocks.

I'll get it first day.

Maybe I'll buy it when it's cheaper. I like Metroid on the NES.

Wow, really? I can barely play it. Zero Mission is much better.

Star Fox 64 is the best in the series.

I don't get it, why more ports? I was hoping they would release a new entry in the series by now, this is free cash for Nintendo in my opinion (most people like myself still have the 1 and 2 from the gamecube).

Of course this is only an apetizer for the REAL stuff, but I quess Nintendo was right some people are NEVER happy.

Why should everyone be happy about everything Nintendo does? This isn't bad news, but I'm not happy about the announcement of 3 games I've already beaten multiple times.

Bets with Conegamer:

Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.

Retro did this because they were asked to. It came up in multiple interviews and Q&A sessions about whether they were going toporn Prime 1 and 2 with Wii controls and they announced they were to much peoples delight, however many people (including you I seem to remember) complained that it should be on a single disc or a box set and now they've done that as well and you still find reason to complain. If this were an E3 announcement I would understand your disapointment, but as it stands your incessant complaining comes across as unjustified and exceptionally obnoxious.

It's a dick move really. Why would we buy the same game again just to play the first one. Like I said, it's not worth €50 if you already own the last 2. Why would anyone in his right mind pay €50 for an 8 year old game.

I would. Prime 1's amazing.

Besides, aren't the NPC! titles sold at the full price of new games in Europe? So, you could buy Prime 1 for 50 Euros, and Prime 2 for 50 Euros, or you could get all three on one disc for the same price. I don't see what there is to complain about.

And even if they are going for 30 or 40, that's still a good deal right there.

Plus, of course, about 48.5 million Wii owners didn't, you know, get Prime 3 - and a comparable amount missed out on the first two as well. Nintendo did say they were releasing the NPC! titles so that their GameCube classics that didn't sell so well can reach a broader audience...
