Forums - Nintendo - Metroid Prime Trilogy Hands-on - (All 3 games on one disc :O)

I usually DO buy games online. However, there's some stuff you just don't do online. Getting a game as soon as it releases is one of those things.

That is when I go to Play N Trade.

And overall I was just teasing you with your own medicine. about the true gamer thing.

Anyhoo back on topic. :P

Play N Trade doesn't exist around here, otherwise I probably would go to such a place.

Here, you've got the usual non-videogame-centric stores like Meijer, Wal-Mart, or Toys R Us, then you've got Game Stop. Those are the ONLY places that will always have what you want, if it's a recent release.

We also have Games Galore and Game Swap, but both of those specialize in selling used stuff, and really old games too. Those are my number one sources for Dreamcast supplies.

I dont have any Metroid game maybe this is my oportunity to start with the franchise.

On the Virtual Console Metroid is $5 and Super Metroid is $8.  I think Super Metroid and Metroid Prime 1 are considered the best in the series, so either one would be a good place to start.  But Super Metroid is definitely one of the greatest 2-D games ever made.

From my experience, Super Metroid is the game most commonly cited as "Best SNES Game". I recently started the VC version, and it is awsome.

I have all three, but greatly look forward to buying this collection. I played through most of MP1 and MP3 (I almost never finish games, because I hate for the fun to end. :( ) They were awsome, and I'll hopefully finally play MP2. I got it for Christmas, played the multiplayer a lot, but never got around to the single player campaign because I was heavily playing other games at the time. *cough*worldofwarcraft*cough*

That, and the idea of four people wildly swinging Wiimotes around playing MP2 multiplayer is too tasty.

I usually buy most of my games from Amazon. Its reasonably (if not cheaper) priced, and has nearly any game i want, so that renders game-specialized stores obsolite.

I think I'm going to get this even though I own 1 and 3.
