Hey, CGI, that gametrailers tv video you keep linking doesn't work (atleast for me). It never finishes loading, any other way to see it, I really want to see it.

Well Clifford must be a "God" with a small "g" then, because he is on a much lower level than Hideo. I have played unreal games like everyone else here, the one thing those games lack are strong characters and good stories (gears of war changed that viewpoint recently, but then the second game did not help out the narrative of the story in any way). Mr. Bleszinski' games are like professional wrestling, sure it looks good, but it is not as exciting as watching mixed martial arts. Hideo is a master writer, director, and all around great games maker, his games are legendary for graphics, story, and pacing. Clifford's games have mostly been mindless shooting in an arena....a far cry from anything one would consider "memorable".

Unreal games set the standard for futuristic FPS. Without the unreal engine games like Deus Ex, All Tom Clancy games, Xmen Origins: Wolverine and much, much more would suck or would've come out later due to the constraints of creating an engine themselves. The Gears of War franchise is a helm franchise and Cliff's genius keeps it at the top as a director. It is influential and every time they make an engine it just keeps getting used by more and more people. Kojima knows he needs to get to another series and quick after MGS5, even ZOE, because if he sticks with MGS5, it will drive a creative mind like his into the dirt. Creative minds excell when they change it up and I'm glad he sees it that way. Kojima has been so stuck in the MGS world that he hasn't been able to branch out like Cliff has into many other things.
well is it true the girls(tomboy) we has seen so far was only for demonstration purpose and that we wont see her in the game anymore?

yes
Ya'll seem to get ahead of yourselves here. This game is slated for a release in 2010. So theres still plenty of work still to be done.
That being said, i must say I really am dissapointed. Why? Couse the original teaser, the scene with the house and the crazy big guy chasing that woman was truly amazing, and got me really interested in this game. Now the developer tells us none of this will be in the game.
Like... WTF!?!
So instead we get those latest actual ingame shots which really is'nt nearly that impressive. I'll say this. Those ppl in here saying this is really good? I mean, wtf is wrong with you? Are you paid to say that? if so, I can understand why you defend this abomination. I mean. The character animations of this new shit is incredibly stiff and artificial. The facial animations for the most part look even more so. Mind you, I'm talking about the new ingame footage, comparing it to the original footage touted as being ingame. Now that really was impressive. This is not.
Now about the story and the type of genre this is supposed to be. It is clear to me that the developer is trying to bring new life to the old point and click advenure genre by bringing in modern technology. Its still a long way from completion and I still think the developer will succeed in what they are trying to accomplish. In that regard, it must be considered a success for them. Will it translate to commercial success? Only time will tell.

I believe that only Tim Schaffer is capable of successfully ressurecting the old point and click genre. Maybe after he finished Brutal legend he will.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.
I watched the video their are moments of WOW! and meh.. I was amazed at the rain and when the waters slide downs at the windshield of the car, for me it looks real. O how water drips down on FBI agent's face, How the water drops from the body of the other macho guy, Man! that's insane.
Have you guys, also saw the metal on the car when he's trying to get out of the car? It looks real to me and how the water drips down on the metal of the car WOW! The meh parts there are some poor textures but all game suffers from it and the character model I am a bit unimpressed, there are some seems that are underwhelming(On the FBI agent only). That was only the FBI scene.
I am impressed at the nightclub scene it's as good as the taxidermist scene.
That's all what I saw and IMO.
@ people unimpressed with the voice acting
It's actually great. For me it was executed well.
One more important thing. He said "the game is not made yet". The way I understand it the game is not yet 100% done.
That's why I don't the understand the hate from some of the posters.

This Video certainly debunk the myth Heavy Rain is only possible on the ps3 thread, hahahahahahaha.
I admire people that dedicated supporting their console of choice but the nonsense talk need to stop.
Are there still people who think this game mainly consists of Quick Time Events? Are people seriously comparing this game to Dragon's Lair? My god...is it just them or did Sony/Quantic Dream really mess up with showing this game to the public?
Btw, why all the dissapointment about the graphics? Sure, the Taxidermist Demo 'looked' better, but that probably is just the setting. Besides, did everyone forget that the Taxidermist Demo was all in-game as well. So expect their game engine to be at least on par with almost a year ago, if not a lot better. Let's just wait till we see more of the game before we'll judge it's graphics.
EDIT: Btw, i can't wait for this game! I'm hyped for it since the first "audition" video, it's gonna be awesome

Color me unimpressed as well. I lost all interest I had in Heavy Rain.
