Well Clifford must be a "God" with a small "g" then, because he is on a much lower level than Hideo. I have played unreal games like everyone else here, the one thing those games lack are strong characters and good stories (gears of war changed that viewpoint recently, but then the second game did not help out the narrative of the story in any way). Mr. Bleszinski' games are like professional wrestling, sure it looks good, but it is not as exciting as watching mixed martial arts. Hideo is a master writer, director, and all around great games maker, his games are legendary for graphics, story, and pacing. Clifford's games have mostly been mindless shooting in an arena....a far cry from anything one would consider "memorable".

Unreal games set the standard for futuristic FPS. Without the unreal engine games like Deus Ex, All Tom Clancy games, Xmen Origins: Wolverine and much, much more would suck or would've come out later due to the constraints of creating an engine themselves. The Gears of War franchise is a helm franchise and Cliff's genius keeps it at the top as a director. It is influential and every time they make an engine it just keeps getting used by more and more people. Kojima knows he needs to get to another series and quick after MGS5, even ZOE, because if he sticks with MGS5, it will drive a creative mind like his into the dirt. Creative minds excell when they change it up and I'm glad he sees it that way. Kojima has been so stuck in the MGS world that he hasn't been able to branch out like Cliff has into many other things.
