Microsoft stopped selling "high risk" models October 2007. Jasper is nice cause it consumes less power and hence generates less heat but the flacon model before that is just as good.

seriously guys its just a console if you guys think about it, your doing the exact same thing as if someone had a microwave that he likes cause it bakes bread.

No, we are TIRED of hearing about it...OOOOHHH...you're 360 broke...who freaking cares...I've had mine for almost 3 years, and it's working fine...maybe I will start a thread monthly (not really) to let everybody know that mine console is still working.  These thread are troll thread for one, and 2, I have a hard tme believing some people posting about having a 360...that broke 6-7 times...

Say what you will about Microsoft, your opinion is worthless anyway, but leave Amazon alone. Amazon is the best thing on the entire internet, unless you hate free shipping, good prices, and ridiculously awesome daily deals.

About amazon..... it is advertised on their site as the latest model which is not true.
No money was wasted as I didn't buy that bundle.
As pointed out by some persons already you can get a cheap used 360 for far less, therefore in my opinion making the only point in buying brand new is to minimize risk as much as possible.
It may be all the same to you lucky folk but in my country the 360 is not officially sold and if I had to send it back it costs a hell of alot i would like to buy a system with as small a possibility of breaking as possible, from my understanding that's the newer models.

Those Halo 3 and Fable 2 pack-in were design to move the Elite which hasn't been selling well since the debut of the Pro 60GB and the $199 Arcade so why on earth would you think you will get the latest production model.

If you want the newest one off the production line, I am sure Arcade or Pro would be your best bet. I noticed my local store have pretty much cycle out all the Kung-Fu Panda & Lego pack-in. Only one left was the Elite and I notice that MS rep had came in and change out the pack-in into Halo 3 & Fable 2.

I am sure the rumor of MS phasing out the Elite is probably true and once these are gone the Elite will just be release on limited basis like Resident Evil 5. Hmm.. Halo ODST Elite? May be Forza 3 Elite for European region since they seems to be the only region still buying race car games...

Some people seem to have a problem with the word deceived so maybe I'll say mislead. After the numerous rants some time ago about how the 360's problem was fixed it is only logical to assume as a consumer that if you buy a new console you won't experience the older problems (or at least less likely). I believe Microsoft in their infinite business and marketing wisdom knew this. This upset me since as I said b4 I may not be able to simply send it back. That is what prevented me from buying one sooner.

i have the newer model falcon 360 with the 4 meormy chips
and the moved them to on top of the mobo and the console
runs cooler then my PS3 AND I HAVE ALL THE games insatlled on the drive
