Sega Loyalists.

I am a Sega Loyalist and a happy PS3 owner, partly because Sega supports the PS3 so well.

Those "Sega Loyalists", that still blame Sony for "killing Sega consoles" should wake up to the reality, that consumers killed Sega consoles.

not really true, sega killed their own consoles.  They released too many, too quickly, and made them too hard to develope for.  This resulted in lack of consumer confidence and lack of developer support which ultimately killed off Sega's hardware making days.

The only people to be blamed for Sega's demise is Sega themselves.  It's sad, but true.

btw, I'm one of those suckers that bought every sega system up to dreamcast.  Genesis, sega cd, 32x, game gear, nomad, saturn, dreamcast.  While I love Sega's games, I'm happy they no longer make hardware, because it was expensive keeping up with all their hardware.

Welcome to the club me and my personal friends belong to.

Didn't they (along with everyone else) own a ps2 last generation?

 Never owned a PS2.

Same haha.  I hate when people generalize me.  I wasn't one of those new gamers who just kinda arose in the industry during the Playstation days haha.  I actually gamed before then haha.  I know how hard it is to believe for people nowadays to see there was something before Playstation... but there was.

And there will always be haters.  Mainly because people are unwilling to accept people like different things.  Only time I have to hate on things is to get people to stop liking something so much... especially undeserved.  Modesty people goes a long way.  Unless it's like Zelda or MGS.  No need to be modest there haha.

Trust me there are haters for everything out there.  Just ignore them.

I did own a PS2 last gen but the xbox was so much the better console in my eyes that i sold my PS2 and bought an xbox. Plain and simple i am no fanboy i go where the games that interest me are. And most of those games are equipped with amazing graphics and lots of online Multiplayer something which both of the other last gen consoles lacked.

Long Live SHIO!

I just got into next-gen gaming and I'm wondering where do these extreme PS3 haters come from? Didn't they (along with everyone else) own a ps2 last generation?

I mean, I understand where Xbox360 and Wii haters originate but the PS3 haters just confuses me.

They are probably not the new gamers that were introduced to gaming through the wii, I'm guessing.

What do you think?

I think I've been called a "PS3 Hater" enough times to speak for some of them that I know.. and in truth, most people called "PS3 haters" have nothing against the console.

The term itself was coined by PS3 fanboys who needed to brand people who think differently from their hive mentality.. for example someone who:

- Considers Killzone 2 sales dissappointing

- Thinks that Sony is in financial trouble and can't afford a price cut

- Believed that Blu Ray will never be has dominate as the DVD

Basically a PS3 hater is someone who doesn't agree with what Sony whats you to believe.. or wait...  i mean b.e.l.i.e.v.e.

Fanboys tend to see other fanboys everywhere because they are fanboys themselves. Usually its easy for a bystander who is familiar with the forum to tell what consoles the regular fans have. If its impossible to tell then you have a very unbiased individual, case in point Khuutra whom I had no idea owned an Xbox 360 for the longest time.

Tease.

@ Mirson )

to be bothered by what companies say is the first sign of being too involved in console wars

really, sony representatives said some hilariously stupid things (and also some very good things, for example Mr. Harrison's game 3.0 speech at GDC 2007), but in my opinion it's just as hilarious to always hold that against "sony"

@ gergroy )
that strange buisiness model they were trying to go for at the end of the genesis era could have worked if people bought into it, but people decided not to (and I do understand them, for I never got the hardware add-ons either, although I was hyped for them at that time)

ultimately that has burned all money they ever got from the genesis and killed almost all chances for the Saturn (my by far favorite Sega console) to be successful, as there was no money left to promote it

Jealousy.

They miss out on 2 gen of the best games.

I dont hate the PS3 I hate its loud mouth bitching fanboys.

My neighbor owns a PS3 I love the system cant wait till I own one because it has great games.

I don't think there is necessarily a lot of ps3 haters out there. It is pretty easy to see why someone would be. I am first and foremost loyal to Nintendo. I have owned both the ps2 and ps3 (never owned the ps1) I am not a ps3 hater but I can see where somebody would be, especially somebody that started with Nintendo watched Square-Enix games, Capcom games, and Konami games go exclusive to the ps1 and ps2 forcing you to buy a ps2. Now everything is going the way of the Xbox 360 and guess what I still support Nintendo, and bought a ps3 well before they lost all of their exclusive games. Now just like I was during the N64/ps1 era I don't get to play Square games (outside of Final Fantasy 13 and versus)because the one system that is getting the games is the one I didn't buy. I'm not going to drop another 300 on a system this generation at this point of the system cycle.

ps3 haters are born from there arrogant fanboys
