-Metroid Prime Series & Call Of Duty are both very well recognised franchises , mabe COD moreso to the general consumer. -Assuming that Conduit has as much as 50% the success Call Of Duty 5's success it will only sell around 550k

Yes, and you can have COD in a lot of plataforms that can do better graphics, COD is more popular in the PC. The Conduit will be an exclusive game, that you only can find in the Wii.
Forget about COD, this is a multi plataform that is more about the multiplayer and graphics, you just can't compare both games, because as I already said, COD you can find in a lot of plataforms.

I think your missing the point , there isn't a signficant market for FPS's on the Wii , the only FPS's that have ever done well all have huge franchises behind them (With the exception of Red Steel , which I believe has alot of potential on the Wii).
There are 16 FPS games on the Wii, 44 on the PS3 and more than 50 on the 360. Some people might argue that this is due to a lack of proper research/willingness on the developers behalf but on the contrary , it's evident that market on the Wii for FPS games is too small to sustain that many.

What difference makes COD be a huge franchise if you can find this game in a lot of systems that have better graphics or multiplayer (that is the real point of the game)? What the COD did on the Wii is a miracle, I doubt that who have a PC/360/PS3/PS2 and don't care about the gameplay bought this game on the Wii. Now, even the HD owners can buy The Conduit (if they have the Wii), because it is an exclusive. Now we have the following situation in The conduit (speaking of consumers):
1-Who wants to play a FPS with a better gameplay
2-Who only have the Wii
3-Who have one HD console, but have the Wii, likes FPS and knows that this an exclusive game for wii
4-Who wants to see a good story (where in the hell that COD has a great story? Come on, just try to see what The Conduit is about in the storyline trailer). COD = Multiplayer
But speaking of the COD (the Wii versions), we have only 2 of these parameters:
1-Who wants to play a FPS with a better gameplay
2-Who only have the Wii
I like FPS games, but Metroid 3D never attracted me. And like I said, what the COD did on the Wii is a miracle, we just can't compare.
I am not missing the point, I understand what you said, but what we can expect from a game that is popular for multiplayer and graphics and has a lot of other systems that attend more these parameters? Ok, you can say "and the Metroid 3?", Sincerely, this game is more for Nintendo fans that are monitoring the franchise for so long, and for me, The Conduit will be the first FPS game that will really show how exclusive FPS games for the Wii from third partys can sell on the Wii. The numbers of FPS in each system only shows that the Wii only receive a FPS when is multiplataform (we have few exceptions). And errrm, sorry for the bad english.
