I think you got lost in the quote.  He was not calling PS3 supporters fanboys.

Yes I think there was a bit of a misunderstanding.  I think the original post he quoted was speaking of Sony supporters, and gebx disagreed with it entirely stating that not even Sony fanboys would go through that.  Perhaps the original poster meant Sony supporters = fanboy, but not gebx from what I read.

It is all well and good, though

Let's assume that all the "quality" games are exclusive to the PS3, SO WHAT? the whole point of the article was that such exclusives will make PS3 the market leader IN SALES. Obviously, as the Wii is the market leader in sales, people do not care about quality in their games.

So go ahead and be proud that the PS3 has the best quality games, it will still be number 3 in sales.

Well, if you think back, it has already. Just for one example, Monster Hunter 3 was initially announced as a PS3 exclusive, now its going to the Wii. Fatal Frame games have traditionally made the Sony consoles its choice platform, have gone to the Wii. Add on Tenchu, which started on the PS (1 I think)? There are quite a few devs that changed direction away from the PS3 over the years, so there are in fact 3rd party devs that have canceled their PS3 projects. Its just the way things go. Its simple business/marketshare, you're going to lose some development interest if you're trailing behind in marketshare. Make note, this isn't to insult or diminish the PS3, it's just the way the industry travels. PS3 will still have solid games, like the GameCube did, it just won't have all of them.

ur write the HDs dont have some of those games but i dont want people getting the wrong idea from my posts im just talking bout myself not the whole gaming community

the wii does have some good playing games but i dont play VGs anymore i become immersed in them i want to feel like im the character hunt for treasures and racing real cars and fighting real people or humans with real fighting moves.  I like to become immersed in the story and gameplay i can do that with games like Infamous, GTA4 Uncharted, KZ2, MGS4, UFC 09, Fight Night 4 and with Racing games that have real cars and environments like GT5

I can do that b/c those games ive listed have environments characters, and gameplay aspects that i can relate to now i used to like games like kart, mario, kong, and all that back in the snes days but im afraid that now im about 55yrs to old to get into them like i used to be able to and even in the nes and snes days it was i bit difficult to get into at my age

wat im tring to say is that the games on the wii i feel ive been there done that with nes and snes and now my mind set isnt with those types of games anymore and for a exersice sim i feel not every1 can relate to it b/c wat if there in shape or they can just buy some exersice dvds or join a gym and for the kart racing for me like i said ive done it with snes and now have aged but theres a local kart track near me i can just go there and do for real or u can go to a fair or amusment park

where can i go to drive million $ cars? or fight real fighters? or shoot rocket launchers in a city like in GTA? or have the intense FPS feel lik KZ2, Halo, COD
