Accually, Leonidus is right, someone always has to throw sales into a discussion about games, this goes for any console. And I accually have played alot of the 360 games, although I don't own a 360, I go to my friends/cousins very often, which have 360's, and Ive played a majority of the top exclusives. Wii? Doesn't intrest me, none of my friends own one, and i'm not buying one. And all I said was Leonidus is right about the sales, why are you talking down on me for, lol? |
Sales are a good indication of what the masses want, what most people enjoy, and what most call quality. So sales do have something to do with the general publics view, some games sell badly due to poor marketing yes but if it's hyped has good marketing and flops then it's a good indicator that the general public didn't like it, for example Haze and Lair. It gets tiring that because your favorite console doesn't perform then sales don't matter, when in fact they do, they keep sony in business and you supplied with good games. Sales aren't the best indicator of "quality" but it's just another way to tell, between reviews, public opinion, and sales you can usually tell which games had effort put into them and which ones were just average or same old same old.

nice way to contribute to the thread if u dont have anything valuable to add just dont post

Play Me
The value of quality is in what the consumers want. The production in quality is in the cost of production. The PS3 exclusives are not by the mass consumer a values software. This is why the sales seem to compare closer to the GC. While the Wii first part exclusives are of great value to the consumer and as such is consumer quality. Some of Wii first part are not high up in production quality(WiiSports).
So yes I sorta agree that some of PS3 exclusive games are leagues ahead in production quality, but many of these PS3 exclusive games don't offer anything new that PS2 consumers don't already have or experienced. As such these pieces of software have low value to the majority.

HAHAHHAA. I'll take the above mentioned games PS3 games over those, thank you

@ BMaker11
really? you really think those PS3 game will push the PS3 more than those games pushed wii? hell wii sports is more a system seller than MAG, Uncharted 2, Heavy Rain R&C and infamous combined. GT will push a fair amount of consoles i believe.
and if you mean youd rather play the PS3 games thats fine but it hasnt got much to do with squalliams post now has it
