Forums - Nintendo - Ashes Cricket 2009!!

Yea it's coming out for PS360 but I don't give a shit!!

It's coming out for Wii!! And delayed too...which entertains the thought that they might be (and frigging should be) adding WM+ support.

I think this is the first real SOLID news that a proper licensed cricket game is coming out for Wii and not some big beach sports or whatever.

I want a good Wii cricket!! That's all.

i reckon the 360 game should be fun as well and as the rumour suggests it may have the chance for the same control system on the 360

Yeah I heard about this coming before, and I did believe it mentioned that they were adding WM+.

"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."

"The so-called "hardcore" gamer is a marketing brainwashed, innovation shunting, self-righteous idiot who pays videogame makers far too much money than what is delivered."

This sounds as intriguing to me as EA Head Coach.

Stop getting so excited about a Kid Icarus remake... the original NES Icarus sucked.

A little old, and as I have said before: footwork?

Then you have a dilemma, which one will you get first?

Cricket would be fun come to think of it, hit the ball stuff the Wiimote in your back pocket and start running... never mind too much exercise.

I'm Unamerica and you can too.

The Hunt Begins 4/20/2010 =D

Well i only heard about it for the HD systems so I got excited today when i saw it was for Wii as well.

@munkeh11
They didn't really say if they were supporting any extra peripheral in the linked article so I don't know much about the footwork part. However WM+ is very sensitive and can possibly be used to sense if a person is charging down the wicket/walking across stumps etc.

@griffinA
any source?

If it was acting as your bat it couldn't possibly tell if you got your foot across to the pitch of the ball could it?

If motion plus is good enough couldn't the analogue stick be used for moving around the crease?
