Forums - Sony - Sony E3: How will Sony hype future games with so many on the back burner??

Torillian said:

oh yer right, not like there's a beta out for Fat Princess either.

edit: nvm, I found one: http://news.vgchartz.com/news.php?id=3522

Didnt Killzone 2 have a beta a year before its release?

Around the Network

which would put the release of Fat Princess in 2011?

edit: also look like you may have over estimated the gap between that beta and release for KZ2.

release in February.

5 months tops, unless you think the beta was more than 2 months long.

Depends, if we're talking Home Beta, Killzone 2 Beta, or Gran Turismo 5 Prologue. These things are hard to predict. The Lapse could be anywhere between 1 year to 5 years.

Home I'll give you, yer wrong about KZ2. and GT5P isn't even a beta. You are really reaching here.

KZ2 was a year between release right? GT5P is a bit MORE than a beta, but its still an early glimpse of the game.

Actually nvm, I'm not even going to give you home, because you decided to overestimate again and say that it's a 1-5 year gap.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PlayStation_Home

"Membership is free, and only requires a PSN account. Home has been in development since early 2005 and started an open public beta test on December 11, 2008."

now what game exactly had a beta 5 years before the game's release?

and again, you were wrong about KZ2, only evidence I can find is for it being a gap of 5-6 months tops.

Thats  considering the "Home" thats currently available to everyone today a beta. Home was announced in 2007. Thats 2 years ago! So technically, Home hasnt even launched yet! It looks like its on the 5 year plan.

Oh come now, an online service like that will always be an "open beta" because they will work on it to make it better. Can you tell me what the difference will be when it "releases"

I cannot, I cannot compare the 2 because one is not out yet. But sony promises the real thing will be much better.

where did they promise that? As far as I've heard all they've said is that they will continue to improve the service. Where did they say the "real thing will be much better"?
