How are those comparison shots? All you do is post a shitload of DR pics, but where are the comparison RE4 shots?
Also, the Wii version of RE4 does look better than the GC version. It supports 16:9 and has improved lightning.
Damn, the Dead Rising guy must be awful lonely. There aren't any zombies in any of those screens.
edit: oops my bad, the zombies are all dead. ^_^

The first page of this thread shows the RE4 village. Just scroll down until you see loads of 3 pictures in one.
And I didn't use the widescreen in either game, since I didn't know I'd be using the Wii version. And although there are extra touches, they are not being covered in the pics.

Yes, these were taken when special forces have apparently wiped out the zombies, so they all lie prone on the ground.
I also notice that you can kill them, but they don't respawn. If the 360 version does this, then we have the closest thing to an accurate zombie count comparison (since both versions have the zombies prone), and I'm working on DR for the 360 to get there. But if anyone else can do that, give us a number for each area, and I can do the same with CTYD.

So are you saying they basically have the same level of detail?
Because imo RE4 looks much much better, which i guess goes to show how much more important the art style and artistic direction is than the actual number of polygons.

But in terms of the variety of the areas, CTYD leads, since it's clear RE4, as beautiful as it is, uses a very limited pallete, and the interiors are sparse compared to Dead Rising.
Not saying that looks better, just that CTYD has objectively more detail in areas, even if the overal impression isn't as, well, impressive.

The polish of RE4 is just simply incredible. Such great finish to it. That's where the difference is because most games dream the could have the polish and finish of RE4. Even today the title still looks stunning.
Dead Rising could have looked that good if it had similar polish but of course I doubt they were caring about clearing up the little glitches and making sure it flowed.
