Forums - Microsoft - Halo Wars DLC is only ... 2 mb... ???!!!!!!!

Compiled code takes up very little space. The vast majority of any game medium is graphics, sound and video.

Here is something regarding whether the DLC was on the disc( and something else he was responding to)

None of the DLC was on the disc when it shipped. The game modes are a small download because they are rules. There is some new content, but it's obviously a different type of content compared to a map. Also, the recent patch added a bunch of missing support/engine groundwork for both DLCs.

We are limited in the number of matchmaking buckets we can use due to Live. We left a bunch of buckets available for the DLC, but perhaps we made too many team oriented buckets. We'll evaluate changing/modifying that as we get feedback. FWIW, since the DLC modes are generally more team-based than the default game, we skewed the new hoppers to be team-focused as well.

2mb?

Sounds to me like its on the disc.

maybe if they used bluray they couldve had enough space to put it on disc lol jk =) .....i do think if it is just 2mb its already on disc.  shame that these devs are trying to milk more out of us gamers, its like buying the full price game isnt enough for them.

3 modes and some new achievements for £7/$10 does sound pretty steep.

DLC in general is a complete rip-off

If i is only 2mb, then it must just be unlocking things already on the disc.

i remember when 3 terabytes was the entire game =/

@wholikeswood

its all relative though isnt it.... it isnt as steep as a 10 pieces of virtual furniture in HOME for £6, or some clothes for sackboy at £2.99

LBP costume/sticker packs aren't that terrible; some are worth it (I love the Norse one) but overall it's a mixed bag. Home content is a rip-off though, I'll give you that...
