Mehh, always knew Wii sales would not last so long. Japan first Europe next then Na, lol its following the sun rise.

It will come done to games it always does, the one with the best and most games will win.

Just like you knew DS sales would not last, and PSP would crush it, right? Just kidding...

But you're right, games are the most important thing: and that's exactly why Wii sales are so low in Japan...

Mario Party 8 and Dragon Quest Swords were the only "big" titles for the Wii for weeks and weeks now... and the Wii Sports momentum seems to be fading, even if i think it will be back in the Top 10 by the end of the year...

Now, when Galaxy, Brawl, Mario Kart will be released, and when (finally) some good 3rd party games will be released... THEN you'll see Wii's full potential, and you'll be able to judge...

Cos even now, with an "all-time low", weekly Wii sales (on a worldwide basis) are still between 200-300.000, just like it has been for weeks and weeks... 220.00 against 280.000 in a low sales period doesn't mean ANYTHING...

As most of your "fanboyish" comments, i would add... and i've readed MANY of these, even if i don't post often... (and guess why?)

Honestly, tell us ONE other console in the history of this industry that started really good like the Wii (although Wii isn't just good - it's exceptional) and ended up lagging behind. There hasn't been one. EVER.

Saturn, perhaps? Although not nearly on the same level. The PSP is a perfect example, no?

In case anyone hasn't noticed, it's still selling more than the PS2, PS3 and Xbox 360 combined.

Uhh, no it's not?

Saturn? Are you serious? And PSP isn't lagging. It's doing very good worldwide.

The Saturn's probably not a good example. It was pretty much destroying the Playstation for a whole year in Japan, but got beaten out pretty quickly.

Oh, and the PSP may have had a good week, and even impressive hardware sales worldwide, but it's lagging behind the DS considerably, and it's software for the last, well, year or more has not been very impressive.

For Shame. Nintendo need to take head at this and get the Wii out of the Rut of No 3rd Party Games!!!

It's the DS all over again!

I wouldn't worry too much. UNLESS it continues this way for a few more weeks..

I think it will, considering the fact there won't be any interesting releases for the Japanese until perhaps 1 november. I don't think zack & wicky will sell that well in Japan, and I have my doubts about the legs of Mario Galaxy. Opoona will probably bomb, just like Dewy.

Saturn was almost one year early in the market; important factor on the topic at hand. And PSP never was leading in sales; even from the start it was lagging behind DS even if the latter was being outsold at times.
