The more he's like FDR. That's only because I've looked into FDR and his New Deal during the Great Depression. I'm sure some of you have known this already but I want to know what you think. So any thoughts?

When FDR was in power the senate passed anything he proposed without question. Obama does not have the same luxury , he must appease the Republicans to get his bills passed. And he has, he is lowering the amount he wants to spend , he has increased the percent of the stimulus package that is tax cuts , and even raised the defense budget. Hopefully these things wont hurt, but Obama really doesn't have a choice until AL Franken gets seated and Democrats get the filibuster proof majority.

Economically Obama and FDR are on the same page they both believe that we must spend our way out economic downturns.

^ well yes they have similar economic ideas. I fear that his plan will head down the same path as FDR's by not solving the problem it was meant to solve in the first place. What do you think we could do to get the economy out of the recession it is having? Well for one, some people need to start pulling their heads out of their rear ends. Fogive me if I seem too simple on political matters.

You can't compare Obama to FDR....at least not yet. FDR did so much for this country while Obama has done nothing yet.... Let's hope he does though.

I'll reserve judgement until Obama does something other than spend money we don't have. The amount of money he is throwing out there unregulated is frightening.
