In their financial report for the fiscal year of 2008-2009, Namco Bandai revealed that the Xbox 360 was their worst performing major platform in terms of software sales for that period.

They only sold 2.704 million units of software on the Xbox 360 for the whole fiscal year. The Playstation 3 didn’t do so hot either with 3.273 million units of software sold at the same period. It seems like Namco Bandai is having a tough time with the high-definition systems.

Here is their performance for software across all gaming platforms in the fiscal year of 2008-2009:

Nintendo Wii – 4.671 million units sold
Playstation 2 – 4.630 million units sold
PSP – 4.202 million units sold
Nintendo DS – 3.847 million units sold
Playstation 3 - 3.273 million units sold
Xbox 360 – 2.704 million units sold
Others – 58,000 units sold

didnt they also publish many more games on the wii ?

Cause in the top 10.

Number 1,4,5,6 were on ps3 (and 3 of them on xbox 360)

And the best selling ps360 game sold more than the two wii games in the top 5 combined.

Total Sales: 730,000 units

Number 5

5. Gundam Musou 2
System(s): Playstation 2, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360
Region(s): Asia and Japan
Total Sales: 700,000 units

Number 6 is actually the ONLY PS3 exclusive game on the list. So Multiplatform is the way to go

Don't worry they already annouced quite a lot of new ps3 and multiplatform games so they seem to do correctly :)

I would like to see them put more on the Wii. I think this is conclusive enough proof that they can have success on the Wii. More money made yet with much smaller franchises. So they should put their bigger games on the Wii and make even more money. I for one would love to see a ridge racer game on the Wii.

In my opinion the N64 was not just the best console of the 5th gen but, to this day the best console ever created!
