Wouldn't care if the reviews called it a hackneyed rehash of a 20 year old game; I'd buy it anyway.
It will probably be the most fun I'll have with the Wii in 2009

On topic: Good to see another great title for the Wii, though I probably won't pick it up for quite awhile. I just got Bomberman off of Wiiware and Samba de Amigo when Best Buy had it at $10, so I've got enough party gaming to last me at least one more party and even if I didn't WSR would take priority. Still, glad to see the goodness coming.

The first sentence contradicts the second sentence though. It didn't jump out at anybody else? I think the guy was trying to say something like
"To come straight to the point, Punch Out!! on Wii isn't just as good as the original, it is far and away a much better game in every aspect."
I'm usually not one to complain, but a professional reviewer shouldn't make mistakes like that, especially when he is giving a game an A+.
Ignoring that, I'm buying this game first day.

They're worded poorly intentionally. The first sentence is supposed to drive you to such depths of despair and disappointment that the second one will set your heart ablaze with joy and elation. Then you get dizzy and fall off a balcony.

Well, it succeeded in that regard only.
I just bought it off of Amazon for 40 bucks.
Go to amazon to get the game. 40 bucks you cant beat.
Next Level Games should become a first party developer after this..
Pixel Art can be fun.
