Certainly worried about the fact that Normandy has a big hole punched in it. I really wonder if that is the end for Commander Sheppard.

Well who was that walking around on the bridge then?

If you notice in the video (2:09), it's on the Normandy - you see an explosion from the 1st floor (looks like the player just got off the elevator from the cargo hold). The player then walks up that way, and the result is explosive decompression via the hole in the roof of Normandy.

My bet is that is how you start the game out - as Sheppard in Normandy, just before it gets destroyed. I think that may lead up to the whole KIA issue - a much darker tone for the starting of the game, having lost your main character from ME1.

Now I just have to figure out which of my 4 Sheppards make it into ME2.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

I still like the idea that he is in deep cover... though that would certainly be an interesting start to the game

I still have to replay the game several times, I have only finished once with Jack Shepherd, a soldier, but I think I will have to play through as a Vanguard a couple of times as well, I don't think the soldier class is the best one to play through as

I don't think Shepard is dead also. The "knowledge" of the Proteans that only he has could lead to some places to find new technology and could be the way to meet some of these new species (for good or bad).

But my worries with the Normandy being destroyed are the rest o the crew. And I mean the ship's crew not the ones like Garrus, Tali, etc. Does it mean Dr. Chakwas, Pressly and Joker are dead?

I think Joker being dead is a cert, especially with the upper deck of the Normandy... missing. lol

I doubt the rest of the squad from ME1 is dead (Tali, Wrex, Garrus, Ashley, Kaiden, Liara), as they already stated that, depending on which ones died in ME1, they would return to ME2. Therefore, they must exist.

I still stand by the fact that Sheppard is either totally dead due to the Normandy attack, or his death was narrowly averted, and plays a very, very minor role in ME2.

I just want this goddamn game now.

I know the rest of the squad are alive if they survived the 1st game (either Ashley or Kaiden will be dead). I ment the doctor, Pressly, the supplies guy and more imprtantly Joker. I'd be really sad if Joker died...

But no, I think he will be alive. After all you are gona get a new ship from somewhere, and Joker was the best (well, that's what he said, a lot of times). And he had also something important in any story you want to tell. He's a guy with charisma. That's something hard to create and something you don't want to lose.

And that could be the precise reason to take him away.
