i'll just be happy with them when they learn to make a reliable system. i havent heard any complaints on the psp so they are 1/4 right now. they put all this money into the ps3 and it still has issues....

this is comming from a xbox owner!! oh the irony-

i have all three systems.  0 issues with any nintendo system, only 1 rrod with the 360+0 with the xbox, and numerous issues with the ps1, ps2, and ps3... including a recent ps3 issue that resulted in $190 to fix it because its warranty expired.

though its known this gen 360  failure rate its more than nintendo and sony consoles put together.

ps3 have done much better than any microsoft console even did even i heard ps1 and ps2 were crappy.

nothing i seen myself though.

I guess history will be rewritten by the PS3 :D

The N64 and Saturn were more powerful than the PS1.. BUT!

The N64's catridge format was limiting, also the N64's cache was its Achille's heel.

Also the Saturn was too difficult to program on and few developers used all it's processing power.

So I'm still unclear, are you trying to back up his argument or oppose it?

It's like the PS2/GC debate. While the GC had better tech, PS2 games still looked better.

You'd think he'd know about the issues people had with the psp screens and the battery's causing second degree burns.

PSP screens were a feature. it was very colorful but the orientation of the pixels caused issues, they probably going to change the screen type due people complaints in the next iteration.

and the PSP that casued to burn was likely a Chinese knock up. it have happens to motorola, and LG phones too but likely due third party batteries.

Not a feature at best an oversight but still a problem with hardware

And

no proof it was 3rd party just wishful thinking and given sony's history with batteries

http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/gadgets-and-tech/news/sony-recalls-100000-laptop-batteries-981173.html (try and spin that one)
its very possibly first party.

F-Zero GX would like a word with you. As would Twilight Princess and Metroid Prime.

The SNES was the most powerful system of the main three (SNES, Genesis, Turbografx) and it sold well. Power isn't a problem, it's cost.

This. If the price of PS3 was 299 on launch we could be looking at a different playing field today. Notice Sony has not even been able to cut PS3's price to 299 to this day.
