God I'm tired of these statements. We've been hearing this since Uncharted. Time to move on Sony ?

The dev teams keep saying it... not SONY.

And I'm guessing that EVERY SINGLE of their first party developpers thought of this by themselves ? It's obvious that Sony are putting pressure on them so they say it.

True, what have the devs got to gain by making this statement?

I'm sure barbie and princess cracker isn't doable on the 360 .. gee's we hear about this crap everyday .. have they even worked with the 360 to even know its not possible?!

get used to hearing this. just as Xbots repeated endlessly about how the PS3 is the more difficult platform to program for.

Well guess when u do learn to program on the PS3, you can do wonders with it.

And really this is not surprising as we have seen this happen for the PSOne and PS2 also.

The games in every PS lifecycle improve dramatically from a technical perspective.

Sorry I was under the illusion the Gamecube and Xbox were more powerfull than the PS2

Its funny you don't hear the same garbage on microsoft's side

360 cant run the same amount of physics PS3 can, it cant have worlds as big/detailed.

funny thing is these announcements wont ever make it to the mass market audience.

Only gamers on forums ever hear about these boasts.......people who allready own a PS3 or those who dont want one.

Quantic Dreams’ David Cage has declared that PlayStation 3 exclusive thriller Heavy Rain would be “too difficult” to replicate on Xbox 360.

Speaking to NowGamer, Cage explained, “I think this game can only be done on PlayStation 3,” adding, “We used all the SPUs, [and] I think to do the visuals, and all the stuff we’re doing would be too difficult [on the 360].”

Apparently, the game’s elaborate physics and crowd-related shenanigans are too much for Microsoft’s white box to handle, said Cage. “There are amazing physics there, and stuff with crowds that you just couldn’t really get.”

Can’t say we’re all that surprised, given that Heavy Rain is one of the PS3’s technical highlights for the 2009 line-up. The game’s out later this year.

Dududum !

Well the game is certainly shaping up to be interesting (from what we hear.. Unfortunately we haven't seen a lot.. but that saves a lot of surprises for when we actually play it i guess :P )

Wow, reading that just sent a chill down my spine, reminding me of Lair for some reasons.

Your guess dosent make it the truth.

Maybe the devs want to hype up their game?

Maybe you didn't get my point.

I was talking about PS games and how they improve as the console lifecycle gets older.

Example: Compare  Resident Evil with Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3. You will notice how the games became better and better in terms of graphics and other technical features.

Same is true for the lifecycle of PS2

Once again to reiterate my point, I was not comparing the PS games with other consoles, just early PS games with late games on the same console.

Every PS architecture contains a lot of depth. The developer has the challenge of discovering more and more optimised ways to extract juice out of the system.

It is better to die on one's feet

then live on one's knees

oh look its a dev BOASTING about THEIR on game on an EXCLUSIVE console.

gee.. what are the chances!!!
