I wonder how much better it would have sold on the PS3; is a better question. I've had mine since launch here in Japan, good game.

This could not be made for the PS3...

Not because ps3 couldn't handle it but becuse Xbox360 has a minimum copies made requirement of 6000 units. Small publishers that don't have a lot of $$ can make a game like this for the 360 and only print 6000 units of their game. PS3's is much higher (not sure exactly howmuch but I've heard 50-100,000)

Therefore a game like this can not be made for the PS3 retail market. It could come on to PSN...but I'm pretty sure Xbox live release would outsell the same game coming out on PSN. It has happened with games like SF2HD and Bionic commando...

That's bull. We have games that were launched on the PS3 to sell 1,000. There were no additional copies available.

@disol if u get the chance try having a go on soldner-x on psn its rock hard and a flippin great game.

Buddy told me about it. Its definelty on the "must play once ps3 is bought" list...

We need Gradius V on PSN/Xbox live. That is a top 5 PS2 game in my books...

Gradius V is a Treasure design, and has the awesome touched Treasure provides.

If you are talking PS2, R-Type Final is definitely worth noting.  I would consider it the "Gran Turismo" of horizontal SHUMPS (Shmups).  You get a LOT of ship types to unlock.

I did post before and gave Raiden Fighters a thumbs up:
http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=72584

It has the Raiden ship, plus other planes that are like they are from Strikers or Aero Fighters. It is a bit on the short side, but it only cost me $20 at Gamestop. $20 is a good price for it. $30 would be a push I believe.

By the way, people into 2D shooters, keep an eye out for Duality ZF that should be hitting XBox Live (I believe Community Games) sometime this month. Here is a thread on it:

Give me an example. Even Microsoft was thinking of changing this policy to 50000 units... but they haven't yet from what I've heard.

This is why a lot of small decs are releasing gams on the 360. Look at Japan and all the shooters that keep coming out there. There are atleast 6 retail SHUMPS available for sale in Japan exclusively on xbox 360.

@Slimebeast

Correct...with some extra shit thrown in like boss attack mode and remixed soundtracks...

Its still a little short...for someone thats good at these games this is a 4 hour game to be honest. But its 4 hours of concentrated ultra fun...

4 hours playrthrough for all 3 games combinesd? That sounds about right for shootemups, but these games have great replay value.

Can play through with different fighters.  I believe Jets probably has the best level replayability.  There is skip based on skill, and a brief play had myself get up to level 10 via a jump.

You can do different planes but I like my Judge Spear plane :)

But yeah, I went through all 3 games collecting 310 achievements in 3 hours :)

Ill do some other achievement whoring today...this should be a solid 5-600 achievement point game within 5 hours of gameplay. Not bad.
