I just spent 3 hours playing this monster. The game is epic. Music is 100% techno/rave... and dificulty is way up there. Sure it lets you get unlimited continues...but once you are on the final stage, if you die you got to start over.

Nevertheless the game is a great rental...but buyers beware...I beat all 3 games in less than 3 hours and there in no online mulitplayer.

Good luck getting those achievements though...some seem pretty impossible. Beat the game with 1 life...yeah right.

Yeah, its not for everybody thats for sure.

If games like Super Strike gunner, Blazeon, Raptor, Axeley don't ring a bell in your head...then my freind, this game will most likely not appeal to you.

I went to EB games today to buy this. They now gut all their copies, so I would of had to buy one that's already open. Going to go buy a factory sealed one from another shop tomorrow. Looks great.

I've always loved shootemups. This game reminds me of Flying Shark and Twin Cobra by Taito? Is this game made by Taito, and is it sold only on retail and not XBL Arcade?

Raiden series is not made by taito but some were published by Taito.   

Raiden games were one of the most popular vertical SHUMPS around. However these games on this compilation were not part of the main series.

I really hope Microsoft or someone picks up Raiden 4 from Japan and gets it over to the US. That game is the real deal... These games seem like real fun xbox live games but they definetly show their age visually and gameplay wise.

It seems its only retail, no live...

Correct...with some extra shit thrown in like boss attack mode and remixed soundtracks...

Its still a little short...for someone thats good at these games this is a 4 hour game to be honest. But its 4 hours of concentrated ultra fun...
