why do people say ps3 is selling well for its price, but they NEVER say an iPOd OR MAC is selling well for its price.

ps3 is NOT selling well for its price - remember sony SAYING the xbox 360 is supposed to be MORE EXPENSIVE than the ps3. So what is it then???
you can't have it both ways.

Either way the sales for sony's ps3 are terrible...and worse yet....it is stilL losing BIG MONEY!!!!!!!!!!

So if the PS3 is selling "terrible" then so is the 360 because they are selling on par ;)

He took the opportunity to bash the ps3 as you say,but how many people are coming into threads always using the $199 xbox360 vs the $399 ps3??as if no one buys the pro $299 model and now even going as low as to mention the $129 model, which is not fair at all. there are 3 models of 360 out please quote something other the the cheapest model all the time ok.but whatever make people feel warm and fuzzy inside, peace.

Its selling terrible for its price! An Xbox 360 equivalent would be $300 pro+$100 wi fi+ $50 live+ $250 blue ray =$700 for Xbox 60 equivalent

Microsoft hasn't been a small company regarding gaming since ever Sony got into gaming (remember Doom, Quake, Half-Life, Civilization, etc). Those former PC gaming only companies are now focussing more and more on consoles.

Relatively Windows gaming has lost a lot of ground compared to the good gains seen with consoles.

For example, I was a PC gamer ever since the mid late 90s, but no more, although that's not a direct result of Microsoft doings (I would have made the switch anyhow due to the advancements in console technology and HDTVs).

But IMO Microsoft has really pushed the XBox 360 to the disadvantage of their Windows PC efforts the last couple of years.

Goodness me what an embarrassment. :(

 I dont think Windows gamming shrank. It changed. Neison still reports lots of casual PC gamers and also, Sites like Steam and D2D have over taken retail sales. Also MMO's like WoW have also gotten huge. There are still hundrecs of millions of PC's in the world

 i AGREE with this post.  xbox 360 sales are EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING!

Way to go off-topic AGAIN.  Let me guess.  You want to divert attention away from the OP's assertion that:
