"PS3 is the best console to date" ?......  you must mean the ps3 is the single BIGGEST MONEY PIT TO DATE & BIGGEST MONEY LOSER IN THE HISTORY OF CONSOLES!!!

1 product = 6 billion dollars of debt AND GROWING - NEVER MADE A PROFIT......not 1 penny.

All of the ps2 profits WASTED .....all for the glory of last place.

My point is sony CANNOT take these losses like microsoft can.  Microsoft made more $$$ in 1 QUARTER, 3 months,  than sony will make in 3 years!!!!!!!

My other point was that japan is irrelevent to gaming and i provided a link with SQUARE ENIX saying the same thing.

Better hardware quality.
Better first party exclusives.
Better value for money.

PS3 won`t stop selling in next 5-7 years.
Sony is cutting cost on PS3 - FACT.
Wasted for BEST console todate.

One more time, Square released MOST games on x360. X360 is Dead in Japan. Square is sucking money from M$. Square says, that region, where x360 FAILS is not important.

Around HALF of Final Fantasy sales come from Japan. You can`t ignore that, whatever you say.

p.s. and i won`t waste anymore my time on you, if you can`t understand why Japan is IMPORTANT, then only time maybe will help you.
After Sony release PS3 slim for 299$, you will see how WRONG you were. =)

Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

 

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.

PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.
PS2 2001 vs PS3 2008 sales numbers =) + New games released in Japan by 2009 that passed 100k so far

Better first party exclusives - FALSE - METACRITIC & SALES HAVE PROVEN xbox 360 has higher review scores, MORE GAMES, and better sales!!!
Better value for money - FALSE - the BLU-RAY fiasco adds NOTHING to gaming and is primarily why sony is struggling to survive.  You can get a blu-ray player + xbox 360 for cheaper than a ps3!!!!!!!!!!!

Does it matter?
All I know is the gap on the front of VGChartz is growing between the PS3 and 360 not decreasing.

I'm worried for the PS3 come 2010. It will be to late for it to do anything then.

This is the universal truth of PS3 fanboys when talking relative 360/PS3 price:

If the overall sales are higher, its because the Xbox 360 is cheaper than the PS3 as the major reason for the difference.

If someone asks whether to get a PS3 or Xbox 360, they are told to get the PS3 because the Xbox 360 costs more over time as the major reason or about Blu Ray which is worth $$$.

Im not trying to be mean, but im getting sick of the contradiction.
