i don't understand how mock ups of in store displays is breaking news.

So can I say the PS3 is a Wii killer because I saw it next to an Ipod in a random shop?

Microsoft has been really hush hush lately, and the Zune HD leak, and the motion control leak by WSJ

you are grasping at straws here.  I like microsoft just as much as the next guy, but this isn't some new ad campaign.  These are mock ups that some company made to present to microsoft of how they could improve their in store displays. 

Problem is, it really isn't up to microsoft, it's up to retailer and how much microsoft is willing to pay to have that much space.  This certainly isn't geared towards casuals at all.  Hardcore and casual a like a attracted to bright colors, we are like squirrels. 

I also don't see how this has anything to do with killing the wii.  Terrible thread title, extremely misleading.  This thread is definetly an epic fail if I have ever seen one.

I won't repeat what has been said, but none of the retailers I visit would dedicate that much space to the Zune.
