Forums - Gaming - So who do you think will "win" E3?

All three have a lot to show and I have to say this is the most excited I have ever been about E3...........because I did not know about E3 a year ago. :P

Of the big three hardware manufacturers whom do you think will "win" E3?

MS are keeping their cards close to them and we already know games like Forza 3, Halo ODST, Splinter Cell Conviction, Lost Planet 2 and Mass Effect 2 will be there. On top of that were sure to get a few big surprises.

Nintendo have a tremendous first party and it has been a long time since SMG released so I am sure something big is coming from Nintendo as well. TBH the only reason I have a Wii is due to first party so I am very excited to see what Nintendo have to bring.

For some reason people are under the impression that MS will butt sex Sony because Sony has announced so many games already. I was one of them until:

Uncharted 2, God of WarIII, Heavy Rain, GT5, Killzone. That's as good as it gets this gen folks. Nothing else will blow us away. It may be incrementally better but not "change the way we see videogames"

Heh, you're in for a very rude (or sweet, depends on your POV) awakening if you think that.

Sony have 2 and a half years worth of software being worked on internally and if you think they are not going to top those titles... heh."

A guy called Sin replied to that and he knew all about the PS3 firmware's and more before they were announced. Him saying that is something which simply cannot be ignored and assume at least another big first party game will be announced at E3. Like me I think other people forget quickly about just how big Sony first party is.

SONY will win E3, not because of PS3... but because of PSP.

its impossible to say who will win e3 and its subjective anyway. we have a general idea what will happen but nobody knows for sure whats in store.

I think Nintendo, because I truly believe they'll be delivering the goods this year.

PSP lineup will be insane. I can't wait.

Last year Sony won by showing off GOW 3, Mag, and DC universe online. If we are talking about actual games being released this year, Microsoft will win.

We, the gamers.

And it's pretty sad to see how this thread will quickly become your average: "I like this first party so they're gonna win". Honestrly, I think Nintendo and Sony have the biggest chance to do something great. I'll have to judge basing on their potential, so I go with Nintendo, but they're both gonna be amazing.

Hopefully Nintendo to make me NEED a Wii. Zelda will do it!!!

Ynwa.

I can see how MS or Nintendo would "win" E3.

MS would need to provide release dates for Alan Wake, Huxley, and the 10 or so other "announced" games that we haven't heard anything else about.  Perhaps Halo Chronicles?  In addition, they could announce the "controllerless" IR remote thing that has been rumored.  To seal the deal, they would need to announce exclusivity to a previous Sony franchise, or multiplatform for a megaton.  (i.e. MGS4+, etc.... essentially, FF13 level, though I'm not sure how they can live up to that this year.)

Nintendo: Announcing Zelda for Wii = win.  SMG2 does not necessarily equal a win, but could produce one when coupled with enough other things.

I will not comment on Sony's chances yet.  I'm waiting for their annual report on Thursday.. that should shed the light on a few things.

Stop getting so excited about a Kid Icarus remake... the original NES Icarus sucked.

I'm not too sure who will 'win' this year, but i like to think that Sony will pull out all the stops to get the PS3 back in the momentum that the console deserves!

The PSP will rule the handhelds this year also with all the announcements of games, but this surely not result in the console outselling the DS anywhere other than Japan (weekly of course)...
