I had goosebumps watching that sweet teaser on the main page. After so many disappointments this year, I really think COD6 will be GOTY, unless either Alan Wake or Heavy Rain are any good.

This should be under gaming discussion. I think halo and mass effect 2 might be in the running for MY goty too.

I think it's pretty hard to say whether a game will or won't be one's personal GOTY before even playing it.

As for me, it probably won't be a candidate, but that's because I don't have a high-end PC and I despise dual analog shooters, so I probably won't get a chance to play it this year. If I did, it might well have a very good shot.

To answer the OP, without having played MW2 yet, I can safely say it will likely be my GOTY this year. I don't see anything else that looks like a legitimate contender.

Nope.I lost interest in the Call Of Duty series a long time ago.

Probably, I really enjoyed MW 1.

God of War III or Uncharted 2 will be taking that category

But perhaps best shooter of the year, behind Killzone 2
