You do realize that the PS2 is still selling in most stores because it was the market leading console of the previous generation (a position the Wii holds in this generation), and the primary reason why the Gamecube isn't still on the shelf was that it was the third place console (a position the PS3 holds) and its sales dropped off when the "next generation" began because the support for "next generation" consoles came (primarily) at the expense of the trailing consoles.
