Don't worry sales will pick up and Sony is FAR from going out of business, this a multi billion dollar company, the PS3 alone isn't going to bring it down.
Edit: actually sine the PS3 is selling at a loss it'd be a bad thing if the sales pick up, the less consoles they sell the less amount of money there losing.

I was right :D I got 4,261 and the 4,262 was to prove him wrong, now the 4,263 is to seal this.

Thank god I looked before I went prove this dude wrong happy. Since this is just a crap OP I will give you the basics.
-Only the Wii, PS1, and PS2 have ever sold faster than the PS3, I think it is selling pretty damn good.
-It is the only console to sell more than 10M untits after launching at $600.
-It is the only console to get to 22M units while being priced at $400.
-It is the highest selling 3rd place console of all time.
-In 2 1/2 years it has outsold the 6 years Gamecube was on the market, and is only 2 million behind the Xbox.
Now I can not predict the future, but PS3 seems to be breaking all kinds of records, and it has yet to even reach a mass market price point. It won't be to long before we see, PS3 pass every non Playstation console besides 360, and Wii. Even at that, it may see its way past 360, and find itself right on the heels of Wii. Its been breaking the rules all generation so far, and unless you see something crazy about to happen, I doubt it will stop.
Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter.
